"We aimed to celebrate the imaginative, engaging and artistic nature of the festival.

" We had no clue what kind of brand design we wanted. Studio Blue provided concept brand designs to help identify a design path to follow. Jessy was open to our requests and offered useful advice to help narrow down a brand design we are happy with. She also went over and above to provide us with brand guidelines to ensure our marketing remained consistent with our brand design. Highly recommend Jessy from Studio Blue."

Studio Blue Creative had the pleasure of leading the majority of the design output for Freedom Festival 2022.

In 2022 over 350 individual artists were seen by over 200,000 people visiting Hull City Centre for The Awakening, The Hull Vigil and Freedom Festival. Over 250,000 people saw the content across all channels.

Hull’s long-running Arts Festival has flooded the city with thought-provoking and entertaining arts and culture for 16 years. Founded in Hull, it is named after the city’s association with the abolition of the slave trade as well as other activism on important issues in today’s world. The festival has been known for bringing the best cultural offerings locally, nationally and internationally through all sizes of performances and exhibitions, from spectacular large-scale to reflective and intimate.

Providing a 74 page brochure print guide, a website re-design, advertisements and respective advertising, the design output of Freedom Fest 2022. An illustrated cover was also created by Director Jessica Zschorn that aimed to celebrate the imaginative, engaging and artistic nature of the festival.

The project as a whole was a collaborative effort between Studio Blue and Freedom Festival Arts Trust.
